Sugar skull #1

Because I want to make some Dia de los Muertos pillows i thought i better start with a sugar skull and see how i like it.  i found a scrap of upholstery material in the basement with a nice big weave and started embroidering.  my husband says it looks like a robot skull.  i guess that's ok.  the next one i'll do in white so that it looks more like a real skull. anyway, it was totally fun and i think i'm ready to tackle the pillows.  after putting them off for a year, i guess it's about time.

i sewed it on a 2 dollar tote bag and tried to sell it for 10.  it didn't go.  i still have it if anyone wants it.

 sold!

I adore it. I want it. Please send it to me; I will send you some $ plus postage, and that will include my mailing address. :) I'm so excited that you're making Dia de Los Muertos things...

I ordered the coolest book - Day of the Dead Crafts: More than 24 Projects that Celebrate Dia de los Muertos by Kerry Arquette, Andrea Zocchi, and Jerry Vigil. Check it out.
